Whole30 Day 3

I’ve been doing the Whole30 for three days now. I’m still super excited and I have a bit more energy. I’ve been drinking nothing but water and my morning coffee – no Diet Coke. I don’t know if it’s because I’m not pouring 4 cans of that poison a day into my body or what but it seems as if I can go longer without feeling the urge to pee. While drinking Diet Coke I always had to have a bathroom nearby. I never had to actually urinate that much but I always felt an urgency to go. Now that I’m only drinking water and a little coffee each day I can go lot longer between bathroom breaks but when I go I can go much more. I don’t have any urgency to go at all. In fact I took my daughter to the Mall of America last night and was surprised to discover I didn’t need the restroom once.

I’ve had no overwhelming cravings for sweets yet. I don’t know if that means I won’t go through much of a withdrawal but I am eating fruit so that might be enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. I’ve discovered Jazz apples, they are wonderful. Not too sweet, crisp and not bitter. They are normal sized apples so I don’t feel like I’ve cheated by eating one.

I’ve also discovered sweet potatoes. OMG they are so good baked in the oven! No butter, just a little salt sprinkled on them and then baked for about 1/2 hour at 350°.
So far I’m loving the Whole30 and am looking forward to getting on the scale to see if there has been a significant weight loss. My clothing feels about the same, except for any bloating. I don’t feel like I’m swimming in my clothes yet and I wouldn’t because they were getting kinda tight. Maybe another week?
