Yep, I’ve signed up for NaBloPoMo 2016. As a fitness blog, this was the kick in the pants I needed. What does NaBloPoMo stand for? National Blog Posting Month, it’s being hosted or put on by Blogher. Basically it means I’ve signed up to write a blog post here every day during November. That includes weekends, holidays and yes, Mondays.
As you’ve probably noticed, I haven’t been very good at keeping up this blog. Mostly because I am so busy actually getting fit, which is an awesome thing, but that leaves little time to keep this thing humming along.
Doing NaBloPoMo 2016 will actually help me get caught up here about the things I want to write about. I’ve got lists and lists of the things I want to talk about – so much has happened in the last year, but I’m still processing a lot of it. I know, I know, I’m better off not processing and just writing. That’s what I’ve always done on all my other blogs, and it works well.
So, I will be updating my blog every day this November. It might not be the most articulate post. It might not make a lot of sense either. But, I will update anyway.
This is really about jumping in with both feet. When I started this blog it was because I wanted to share my fitness journey with you. What I have learned since I started this blog is that some things are more difficult to share than others. Partly because I can’t imagine anyone cares and partly because I’m not comfortable talking about the shit that got me where I was when I started this blog.
On the up side of all that – I’ve made some huge gains in the last year. I’ve lost a ton of weight, I’ve started working out just about every day, I’ve stopped letting that little voice inside have its way with me. I’ve not been completely successful at kicking it to the curb, but I have been able to drown out its puny voice and ignore it much more often.
This month for NaBloPoMo 2016, I plan on exploring all of that.
